The Laboratory for Integrative and System Biology (LaBIS) is located at the Center for Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering (CBMEG). It was founded in 2014 by Dr. Marcelo Mendes Brandão aiming the development of custom bioinformatics tools to facilitate the analyses of biological data from projects involving massive data acquisition. Our research is based on current questions regarding the usage and application of NGS data on a variety of fields ranging from agriculture pests to cancer.
The LaBIS is always open to new collaborators and for enthusiastic graduate students.
